The rain stopped around 8:30, and the wind became calm. Perhaps 60 elite antique cars participated on Saturday, including numerous Brass Era cars (Cadillac, Buick, Mitchel, Crawford, Ford) dating back to 1910. After touring the Massey Air Museum and partaking of coffee and donuts, they departed for Mt. Harmon Plantation, the next stop on Saturday’s tour. I overheard one of the drivers complain that “some of these guys must wash and wax their cars every night before going to bed.” It’s competitive even without prizes.
