More info
The MassArt Art Museum (MAAM) is Boston’s only free contemporary art museum, a space to experience works by extraordinary artists at the forefront of contemporary art. As MassArt's teaching museum, we are committed to educating and empowering the next generation of artists—both on our campus and throughout the world. This season our exhibitions explore how we shape the world we share. The artists on view consider how rights, histories, and identities are not simply inherited, but made and altered through engagement and acts of creativity. Think about the structures and beliefs that influence and enable the ways we live. What values are protected and promoted? What values do you think should be questioned, changed, or reinforced? In the lobby, Baseera Khan shifts old symbols and materials of imperial power to imagine another future.
